Now that remote work has become part of the “new norm” of life after COVID-19, many stay-at-home workers are starting to experience new, unforeseen challenges such as IT issues and lack of communication/organization tools.

Project management is hard enough without having to coordinate an entire remote team. This is why many Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) cloud-based project management tools such as Wrike and BaseCamp are experiencing a massive surge in popularity.

We want to share with you five of our favorite PM tools that you and your team members can immediately begin using to help keep your projects on track and running as smoothly as possible.

SlackSlack is a freemium messaging app that allows you to communicate effectively with team members. It also has a wealth of features that will enable you to manage projects directly from the app itself. There are also thousands of third-party connectors that will help extend the usefulness of Slack.

The basic version is free. However, you will need to pay upwards of $6.67 per user per month if you’re looking for more functionality, such as the ability to read past messages beyond a specific date. If you’re just working with a smaller team, you should be able to get by with the free version of Slack without having to upgrade.
